Accident injures San Jose woman
Gilroy – A San Jose woman rolled her car on Uvas Road while trying to negotiate a turn Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Gwyn Payne, 25, suffered only minor injuries after her 2000 Oldsmobile Alero overturned on a dirt embankment on the north side of the road.
She had been driving south on Uvas Road at about 9am when she lost control of the car while trying to turn on a left-hand curve, overcorrected and drove across the northbound lanes and off the road.
Payne was taken to Saint Louise Regional Hospital with complaint of pain to her neck. She was treated and released.
The CHP said she was saved from serious injury because she was wearing her seat belt.
