GILROY – Lorraine Marquez stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh inning as Kay’s Kids rallied past the M&M’s 12-11 in Women’s C League play Wednesday at Las Animas Park.

The M&M’s erupted for seven runs in the top of the sixth inning, led by a two-run single by Mary Surber, to take an 11-8 lead. Kay’s responded with a two-run double by Vanessa Pena in the sixth, then scrambled for two runs in the seventh to open the second half of league play on a winning note. Marie Lucio opened the Kay’s seventh with a single, scoring on a Kiely Sheppard triple.

Sheppard and Shelly Guerro of M&M’s each went 4-for-4.

Marks Tractor Service needed three runs in the bottom of the seventh to overtake Chaos 8-7.

Trailing 5-4 after six, Chaos scored three runs in the seventh. Sandy Liberatore and Kelly Kramer laced RBI-singles before a Rene Rodgers grounder made it 7-5.

Cathy Marks opened the Marks Tractor seventh with a single. An infield error and Joanne Fowles loaded the bases. Nicole Villarreal crushed a three-run double to center to give the Tractor the decision.

Barb Lemberger homered for the winners. Liberatore went 3-for-4.

Jodi Mendez went 4-for-4 and Diane Del Valle went 3-for-3 to pace Let’s Do This past the Energizers 22-7. Mary Solari netted three Energizer hits.

Emily Hernandez went 3-for-4 and scored three runs to spark Goldsmith Seeds past the Hpnotiqs 16-1. Jessie DeMarco tripled and scored the Hpnotiqs run.

Don’s Vending began the second half of the Women’s B League schedule with a 12-4 decision over Williams Dental Lab.

Corrina Casillas delivered a double and two singles, driving in three Vendor runs. Melissa Taku bagged a two-run double and Liz Adams collected three hits for Don’s Vending. Maureen Hughes went 3-for-4 and scored three runs for Williams Dental Lab, the first-half league champion.

Mary Ellen Valdivia powered to four hits as Handmade Healthcare topped Dutchman’s Pizza 15-7. Missy Howe and Christina Castillo each finished with three hits and three runs for Handmade. Mary Oteri went 3-for-4 for Dutchman’s, the first-half C titlist.

Henry Calderon homered and Miguel Rivera went 4-for-4 Tuesday as Team Talamo defeated the Good Fellas 16-4 in Men’s B play at Christmas Hill Park.

Abel Jacquez and Santos Gutierrez each went 4-for-5 for Team Talamo. Gabe Duenas singled and doubled for Good Fellas, the first-half C winner.

Steve Pacheco went 4-for-4 with a three-run home run in a 20-4 Craig Avila Bail Bonds win over Salas Trucking. Esco Hernandez went 4-for-4 for the Craig Avila, Ulrich Storey 3-for-3 for Salas Trucking.
