GILROY – Kindergarten registration for the 2004-05 school year begins the last weekend in March. This is the second year that registration will be handled at each school site.
Children who are 5 years old by Dec. 2 are eligible to register for classes that start this fall.
Registration is handled at the student’s neighborhood school, which parents can locate by logging on to the Gilroy Unified School District Web site.
Parents must bring the following documents when signing up on Saturday, March 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:
• Proof of age, such as a birth or baptismal certificate
• Proof of residency, such as a tax bill or utility bill and credit card bill
• Immunization records, including polio, DTP, MMR, TB, Hepatitis B series and chicken pox
• Completed registration form
Registration forms may be picked up at the schools, the district office at 7810 Arroyo Circle, or downloaded from the GUSD Web site.
Photocopies of the required documents can be made at the time of registration, but it is recommended parents bring copies with them to save time.
