For me the library tax Measure B was a problem because it asked
for a tax increase.

With the state, the county, and the citizens, all experiencing the effects of a down economy, I thought it inappropriate for the county to ask for a tax increase.
I would have supported an extension of the existing tax.

Editor’s Note: For the record, Measure B asked voters to replace an existing tax that sunsets with a $42 per year property levy for homeowners.
