The Gilroy Police Department responded to a variety of crimes last week, including carjacking, grand theft, child endangerment, assault and burglary. The arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between Jan. 30 through Feb.5.
Carjacking
-Jerry Alcaraz, 23, on Feb. 1 at 6:09 a.m. on the 500 block of W. 10th Street for felony carjacking and an outstanding warrant for driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher.
Grand theft
-Katrice Maciel, 40, on Feb. 3 at 2:15 a.m. on the 800 block of El Cerrito Way for felony grand theft of personal property.
Child endangerment
-Asuncion Gaeta, 45, on Feb. 5 at 6:37 a.m. on the 9400 block of Kern Avenue for child endangerment involving unjust pain or suffering and inflicting bodily injury on a child.
Assault
-Oliver Cabrera, 23, on Jan. 30 at 10:27 a.m. on the 9400 block of No Name Uno for felony assault with a deadly weapon and felony assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury.
Burglary
-Danny Granados, 36, on Feb. 1 at 8:56 p.m. near the intersection of Ninth and Hanna streets for three counts of felony second-degree burglary.
Possession of a controlled substance
-Nicole Zavala, 27, on Jan. 31 at 12:24 a.m. near the intersection of Wren Avenue and Mantelli Drive for possession of a controlled substance.
-Jasper Del Real, 42, on Feb. 3 at 11:37 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey Street and Luchessa Avenue for felony possession of a controlled substance and use/being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Zorawar Mann, 25, on Feb. 3 at 9:04 p.m. on the 6500 block of Princevalle Street for felony possession of a narcotic controlled substance, use/being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer.
Driving under the influence
-Cole Drews, 27, on Feb. 3 at 1:22 a.m. near the intersection of Monterey Road and Travel Park Place for driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher.
Multiple charges
-Michael Heredia, 21, on Jan. 30 at 8:24 p.m. on the 1400 block of Partridge Drive for felony possession of marijuana for sale, resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer, battery on a peace officer or emergency personnel and entering a non-commercial dwelling.
-Brittany Garcia, 20, on Jan.31 at 12:58 a.m. near the intersection of Westwood Drive and First Street for felony possession of a controlled substance, driving with privileges suspended or revoked and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.
-Patrick Filice, 53, on Feb. 1 at 2:29 p.m. on the 7900 block of Westwood Drive for driving with privileges suspended or revoked and use/being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Yajaira Fores, 24, on Feb. 2 at 3:50 p.m. near the intersection of Forest and Lewis streets for felony first-degree burglary, felony threats to commit a crime resulting in death of great bodily injury, felony driving or taking a vehicle without the permission of the owner and hit and run.
-Veronica Nunez, 34, on Feb. 5 at 5:40 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for failure to appear and driving without due caution.
Probation/parole violations
-Darren Dorrell, 46, on Feb. 1 at 7:53 p.m. near the intersection of Mantelli and Rancho Hills drives for two counts of felony re-arrest for probation violation.
-Eric Meza, 36, on Feb. 4 at 9:37 p.m. on the 7300 block of Hanna Street for felony parole hold and felony parole violation.
Driving violations
-Robert Perales, 21, on Jan. 31 at 7:20 p.m. near the intersection of First Street and Wren Avenue for driving with privileges suspended or revoked, driving with expired registration and failing to provide evidence of financial responsibility.
-Erik Llewellyn, 47, on Jan. 31 at 9:20 p.m. on the 500 block of Welburn Avenue for and outstanding warrant for driving on a suspended license.
-Jose Ceron, 39, on Feb. 5 at 6:03 a.m. near the intersection of Alexander and 10th streets for an outstanding warrant for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle.
Under the influence
-Rodolfo Moreno, 41, on Jan. 31 at 10:25 p.m. near the intersection of Monterey and Seventh streets for being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
-Patrick Filice, 53, on Feb. 3 at 10:35 a.m. on the 7800 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard for use/being under the influence of a controlled substance.
-Bruce Gallardo, 39, on Feb. 4 at 8:30 p.m. on an unspecific segment of Eighth Street for being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or a controlled substance.
Petty theft
-Raquel Mendoza, 19, on Feb. 5 at 12:42 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft.
-Rabecca Jaurique, 19, on Feb. 5 at 12:42 p.m. on the 7100 block of Camino Arroyo for petty theft.
Drinking in public
-Richard Sena, 57, on Feb. 3 at 5:20 p.m. near the intersection of First and Monterey streets for drinking an intoxicating liquor in a public place.
