Montes accounted for 124 of the Mustangs’ 179 rushing yards against Alisal. He also recorded a touchdown en route to Gilroy’s 27-0 win Oct. 10.

The Cougars’ goalie blocked eight shots in their 6-3 win Oct. 11 over Evergreen. This is her first year playing not only goalie, but also the water polo as a whole.
