Oakwood Hawks

Last season, Trinity Christian beat Oakwood on three separate occasions. On Thursday, Oakwood got to return the favor.
The Hawks (11-2) got their payback, topping the host 83-34 in Salinas behind a stellar performance by Justin Mortensen.
Mortensen, the 6 foot 9 junior, picked up a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. He also added three steals and two blocks.
Youssef Eshra racked up 16 points, five assists and five steals, further adding to his already standout freshman year.
“Youssef is always the quickest player on the floor and it showed again this evening and he controlled the tempo of the game from the start to the finish,” Oakwood coach Kort Jensen said.
The Hawks will play at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at San Jose.
