DEAR EDITOR:
Just over a month ago I was sitting in my classroom
brainstorming how to recover from a $9,000 shortfall in our effort
to purchase new uniforms for the marching band this year. The
amazingly generous community of Gilroy stepped in and we now are
wearing the uniforms with pride and, even better, they are paid
for.

Thank you to many people and businesses in Gilroy that helped us in our time of need especially Don Christopher and Christopher Ranch, but also the Gilroy Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Bob Lynch Ford, the Gilroy Dispatch, and many, many others that would fill this entire page. Thanks in great part to the support of this community, the Gilroy High School Music Program has been able to enjoy its many successes. Thank you, Gilroy!
There still is a small amount that we are still fundraising for and we will be having a rummage sale this Saturday on the corner of 10th and Princevalle (weather permitting), if you would like to help us out. Thanks again Gilroy and let’s come out and show appreciation to our veterans this Monday!
