Bertha W. Lindeleaf passed away at home in Fresno on Nov. 16, 2002.
She is the wife of the late, Howard A. Lindeleaf. Mrs. Lindeleaf is survived by her sons and their wives, Robert and Louise Lindeleaf of Snelling, Jerry and JoAnn Lindeleaf of Fresno, and Don and Diane Lindeleaf of Bend, Ore. She is also survived by five granddaughters, three great grandchildren, her sister Alta Bauer of Santa Rosa, and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Lindeleaf was born in Gilroy 86 years ago. She attended San Ysidro School and graduated from Gilroy High School. Mrs. Lindeleaf was a dedicated volunteer for the Wheeler Hospital Auxiliary during World War II. Her caring and compassion continued throughout her life as she devoted herself to her family and to friends. She enjoyed hobbies such as gardening and crocheting.
The family would appreciate gifts, in Mrs. Lindeleaf’s memory, to your favorite charity, or contributions to the Kasey Elizabeth Lindeleaf Memorial Scholarship. This endowed scholarship, in memory of Mrs. Lindeleaf’s youngest granddaughter, is awarded to graduate students who have exhibited outstanding potential to make significant advancement in the area of communication disorders, especially with hearing impaired children.
