Police arrested a 16-year-old teen after neighbors reported
hearing gunshots fired near Antonio Del Buono Elementary School.
The reports came in about 5:45 p.m. Friday after school had been
dismissed and no injuries were reported.
Police arrested a 16-year-old teen after neighbors reported hearing gunshots fired near Antonio Del Buono Elementary School. The reports came in about 5:45 p.m. Friday after school had been dismissed and no injuries were reported.

After police arrived they located the teen at his residence in the 200 block of Farrell Avenue. There, they located the gun and ammunition. A computer check confirmed the gun had been stolen during a residential burglary in Los Angeles County.

The crime is believed to be gang related, police said, and the anti-crime team is investigating.

The teen was arrested on suspicion of negligent discharge of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and gang related enhancements.
