Catherine L. (Katie) Fancher Born March 20, 1950 in San Jose, CA, Katie passed away early Friday morning, December 16, 2011, in Gilroy, CA. Katie attended Emmet Grammar School where she was the last eighth grader to graduate before it closed. She graduated from Santa Catalina School in Monterey in 1968 and from the University of California Davis in 1972 with a Bachelors Degree in International Relations. Katie retired in 2009 from the County of San Benito, where she was the Director of Victim Witness Assistance Program.
Katie is survived by her mother, Fern Fancher, two sisters Page (Pete) Welton and Leslie (Ken) Rodman, two brothers Mark (Cynthia) Fancher and Patrick (Jacqueline) Fancher and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Eldon Fancher in 1992.
At Katie’s request there will be no services.
