Workers remove a canning line Tuesday morning that bridges

In June, the Eyesore of the Week identified the bridge that spanned from an abandoned brewery across the railroad tracks off 10th Street and Monterey Road as a sight for sore eyes due to graffiti and peeling paint.

But, alas, on Tuesday the eyesore was cleaned when the bridge was removed altogether with a very large crane and patient workers on hand.

The landlord Ann Fillice planned all along to have it removed but was just waiting on the permits and scheduling with a contractor.

WHERE: 7050 Monterey Road behind Chevron gas station

PROBLEM: Graffiti

RESPONSIBILITY: The space is up for sale or lease by Intero Real Estate agent Ron Erskine.
