Behind a complete game four hitter from Jalynd Gallardo, the Gilroy High baseball team kick started a busy week with a 6-0 victory over Tri-County Athletic League opponent Alisal on Tuesday in Salinas.
The Mustangs improve to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in the TCAL, though they face a home-and-home against Palma twice to wrap up the week. The Chieftains are 4-0 to start league play.
Eric Vegas popped a double and had two-RBI while Ronnie Reed, Matt Brothoilic, Bubu Garcia and Ryan Alba also contributed run scoring hits.
The back-to-back battles with Palma begins Thursday in Salinas and concludes Friday at GHS. Both games are slated for 4 p.m. starts.
