WATER POLO: GHS girls notch two league wins, boys split

Travis Gamble will take over for the departed Sean LaGuardia
Gilroy High athletic director Julie Berggren announced the hiring of Travis Gamble as the new girls water polo coach.

Gamble is a GHS alum and is currently pursuing his teaching credential, Berggren wrote in an email Monday.

“I am very excited to have Travis’ young energy to work with the girls,” Berggren wrote. “He has a plethora of water polo knowledge and I believe he will be a great fit for the program.”

A call to Gamble was not immediately returned.

Gamble takes over for Sean LaGuardia, who in three years led the Mustangs to two Central Coast Section playoff appearances and a Tri-County Athletic League title in 2010.
