County law enforcement agencies are increasing efforts to arrest
drunken drivers during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, according
to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
County law enforcement agencies are increasing efforts to arrest drunken drivers during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.
DUI enforcement will begin Friday night with special patrols deployed in the cities of Campbell, Milpitas, Mountain View, Cupertino, Saratoga and Los Altos Hills. DUI patrols will also be present Saturday and Sunday nights, according to the Sheriff’s office.
In addition to efforts by the Sheriff’s office, the California Highway Patrol is expected to deploy all available officers over the holiday weekend on freeways and county roads in its jurisdiction, according to the press release.
The Sheriff’s office is also reminding county residents to keep friends and family from drinking to excess, always designate a sober driver and report drunken drivers by dialing 911.
