Good Ole Boys Rally to Defeat Team Beefy

Gilroy – The Cali Boys moved past the Desperados into first place in the Men’s CCC League second-half pennant chase Monday with a 13-3 nod over the Desperados at Christmas Hill Park.

The 3-0 Cali Boys snapped a 1-1 tie with four runs in the sixth, then locked up the victory for eight markers in the final stanza.

The loss left the Desperados in second place at 3-1.

Adam Solis delivered a double and single as the Cali Boys batted around in the seventh inning. Sal Preciado and A. G. Gonzalez hit doubles for the winners. Bob Stuve and Lorenzo Nino hit run-scoring singles for the Desperados.

Matt Coughlin’s two-run home run ignited a 17-2 Gamers In Control victory over Chris Costello Electric.

Fred Tovar and Coughlin each struck for three hits for the Gamers. Mark Madalena went 2-for-2, Tony Arce and Ed Castro each 2-for-3 for Chris Costello Electric.

Jose Bueno powered two home runs, a double and a single as Bracco’s Towing (3-1) topped the Hit Men 18-3.

Danny Rubalcava homered in a 5-for-5 effort and Alex Rojas scored four runs for Bracco’s. Jeff Stuck went 2-for-2 and Henry Quistian hit a single and double, scoring once for the Hit Men.

Victory Outreach is 4-0 atop the Men’s EE League standings after defeating South Valley Community Church Men of Thunder 13-3 Monday at Las Animas Park.

Branden Maron stroked a triple, double and two singles for the Outreach offense. Josh Sanchez bagged a three-run homer in a seven-run fifth for the winners. Dan Cross and William Parton each went 3-for-4 and Jordan Montarbo scored two runs for the Men of Thunder.

The Good Ole Boys moved into third place at 2-1 with a 17-15 upset of VFW Bingo.

Davis Tripathi homered in a five-hit effort for the Good Ole Boys. Kris Puthoff homered and Pat Chris and Doug Franklin each netted four hits for the Good Ole Boys. Nick Aldrete collected three hits for VFW Bingo and Chris Stainton added a double, single and two sacrifice flies for 2-2 VFW Bingo.

Tony’s Embroidery is 3-1 after a 23-13 decision over Team Beefy. Brian Fialkosky homered and Anthony Lucio launched two doubles, a single and sacrifice fly for Tony’s Embroidery. Dustin Robinson crunched a two-run home run and Stephen Hopf lined a two-run single for Team Beefy.
