That was again the case as the Mustangs (6-3) defeated Prospect 9-6 in a Blossom Valley Athletic League contest at Bob Hagen Memorial Gym.

Once-beaten Arthur Lee won 15-3, 15-8; Johnny Kuang was victorious 15-13, 15-12; and Jorge Fernandez won 15-5, 15-8.

In girls doubles, Meiyi Liang and Cuimei Ma won 15-4, 15-4; Christine Camacho and Ariana Azevedo won 15-1, 15-3; and Tracy Pham and Stina Marshall won 15-8, 15-13;

Gilroy also got wins from its No. 3 players as Vindy Yang won 15-0, 15-0 in girls singles; James Kwong and Rafael Quiroz won 15-8, 17-14 in boys doubles; and Karen Tayson and Anthony Ualat won 15-9, 6-15, 15-10 in mixed doubles.

GHS will attempt to reverse one of its losses when they visit Pioneer at 3pm Thursday. Pioneer won 8-7 the last time the teams met.
