People interested in serving as a “citizen-at-large” on the City’s General Plan Advisory Committee only have until 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 to submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office.
Only 10 “citizen-at-large” seats are up for grabs in the 25-member GPAC – which aims to give an equal voice to all segments of the community in planning Gilroy’s future – and applicants need no previous experience when it comes to legislative affairs. In fact, being a newcomer to local politics and planning is actively encouraged.
“Their fresh ideas on how the city should ultimately develop over the next 20 years are very important,” said City Administrator Tom Haglund.
Applications are available on the home page of the City website at www.cityofgilroy.org and in the lobby of City Hall located at 7351 Rosanna St. Completed applications can be submitted by mail, in person or by email to:
