Gilroy High School’s homecoming week, which begins Monday, Oct. 28, will culminate Friday, Nov. 1 with a parade beginning at 3:30 p.m. The GHS Mustangs will go head to head with the Everett Alvarez Eagles later that night at 7:30 p.m.
This year’s homecoming theme is “Movie Sagas” with class floats inspired by “Star Wars” (seniors); “The Fast and the Furious” (juniors); “Toy Story” (sophomores); and “Pirates of the Caribbean” (freshmen). Students will be working on their floats all week long outside the GHS Student Center.
Grand Marshals for the parade will be announced Monday, Nov. 28.
The parade route is as follows:
-Depart from the GHS parking lot along Princevalle Street
-Head north
-Left on Eighth Street
-Left on Orchard Drive
-Left on 10th Street
-Right on Princevalle Street
-End in the parking lot by the football field
