Four sex offenders found out of compliance with registration laws

Four sex offenders in Gilroy and unincorporated areas in Santa Clara County were found in noncompliance with their registration requirements last week. 

On March 21, officers from the Santa Clara County Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Task Force (SAFE), Gilroy Police, California State Parole, Santa Clara County Probation and US Marshals Office conducted sex registrant compliance. Officers verified 67 registered sex offender addresses and found four people out of compliance. 

Warrants will be sought for the four noncompliant sex offenders.

The City of Gilroy has approximately 130 registered sex offenders within the city limits.
