Independence Special: We’ve got kitties coming out of our ears! In addition to this year’s kittens, we have some kittens from last year (now teen-agers) and the previous year (now adults). Our FOSMAS Board of Directors approved an “Independence Special” reduced adoption fee for the month of July only. FOSMAS adult cats (18 months and older) get their independence for only $17.76! Please visit our website http://www.fosmas.org to see our adoptable adults. They are currently in foster homes or in our permanent adoption centers while they wait for their forever homes. We’ll have some at our adoption fairs, too.

Need Help With Re-homing
ADULT CATS – Four adult cats were abandoned by their previous owners who moved out of the country. They were taken-in by a long-time FOSMAS supporter who is trying to re-home them into families who will care for them forever. Three of them are seniors, estimated to be 12-14 years-old. Two are FIV+. All are very sweet, and should be indoors-only.
Casey is a 12-year-old brown tabby Maine Coon DMH who is really coming into his own at his temporary home. He’s FIV+, so will need to be either an only-kitty, or adopted into a home with another FIV+ kitty. He gets along with Salem, so could be placed together since they’re both FIV+.
Junior is a 3-5 years-old gray tabby DSH male who loves hanging out with his humans.
Salem is a 12-year-old black DSH polydactyl (extra toes) male. He’s FIV+, so will need to be either an only-kitty, or adopted into a home with another FIV+ kitty. He gets along with Casey, so could be placed together since they’re both FIV+.
Tubby is a 14-year-old black smoke DLH female who loves laps and will stay there as long as you let her. She’s also very good at “making biscuits” (kneading on you).
All 4 kitties get along well with each other, so if your heart and house has room, all or any combination could go together. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting any of these wonderful kitties, please contact Trina Hineser directly at th******@e-********.com.
CORGI-MIX – Buddy is a very sweet 6-year-old blind Corgi-mix male dog that was found abandoned in a San Jose apartment complex. Efforts to locate his previous owners were unsuccessful. Several long-time FOSMAS supporters saw Buddy’s wonderful personality and wanted to help find him a new home. Since he’s blind, he needs an indoor home with a safe outdoor yard. He is currently being treated for glaucoma. His surgery was postponed to give him time to settle, the vets to watch his glaucoma, and see if he really needs to have his eyes removed. The pressure reduced between the time he was taken into foster care and when he went in for surgery, so we’re hopeful that he’ll continue to improve. His ideal home would be with a person, couple, or family where someone is home most or all of the day, and patient and understanding enough to let Buddy learn his new home and family by smell. He’s a very intelligent dog, and would be a wonderful addition to the right home and family. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting Buddy, please contact Diane Norgard directly at lv*********@ya***.com.
