A 29-year-old Hollister woman used a key to enter her
ex-boyfriend’s house on the 12200 block of New Avenue in San Martin
and take credit cards and gift cards, damage his plants and use
lipstick to write on his door, between 4 p.m. Saturday and 1:25
a.m. Sunday. The woman later returned the stolen items. The
district attorney is reviewing the case.

Burglary

Attempted burglary
A large metal rod was used to break the window on a mobile trailer and a camper shell on the 14300 block of Columbet Avenue in San Martin, between 8:30 and 8:40 p.m. Saturday. Nothing was taken.
Vandalism
An “X” was scratched into a red Ford F150 on the 4700 block of Maple Avenue in Morgan Hill, causing about $400 in damage, between 6:15 and 6:25 p.m. Saturday.
Two small cartons of spoiled cream were thrown on a 2004 gray Ford Focus on the 9100 block of Burchell Road, between 11 p.m. June 9 and 12:10 a.m. June 10. Cleaning the car cost $50.
Four tires of a 1999 gold Nissan Maxima on the 13200 block of Monterey Road in Morgan Hill were deflated and the paint was scratched, causing $565 in damage, between 11:50 p.m. June 7 and 7:30 a.m. June 8.
Vehicle theft
A 2002 tan Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen from the 15000 block of Llagas Avenue in San Martin, between 7 p.m. Friday and 1:13 a.m. Saturday.
Residential burglary
A sander was stolen from a home and tools were taken from an adjacent shed on the 6500 block of Redwood Retreat Road, between 3:45 and 4:41 p.m. Friday. The burglar or burglars entered the home by breaking the front door.
Recovered stolen vehicle
A 2003 black CAT trailer stolen out of San Jose was found on the 13100 block of Monterey Road in San Martin, 4:25 p.m. Friday.
