A women attempted to pass a stolen check at Wells Fargo Bank on
First Street, 1:49 p.m. April 15. The teller recognized the check
was stolen. The suspect left the bank without the check and an
identification card prior to police arrival.
Petty theft

A thief entered an unlocked vehicle on First Street and removed a purse with a driver’s license, two debit cards and $40 in cash, 8:10 a.m. April 15.

A thief removed a coin box from a washer machine on Forest Street, between April 12 and April 13.

A thief entered an unlocked vehicle on Carlyle Court and removed a Prada purse valued at $200 with a wallet with credit cards, driver’s license and Social Security card between 3 and 4:30 p.m. April 16.

A thief stole a license plate from a 1985 white Volkswagen van on Chestnut Street, between 5 a.m. April 16 and 8 a.m. April 17.

A petty theft report was filed at an apartment on Second Street, April 15.

A pink iPod Nano valued at $199 was stolen from an unidentified location on Wren Avenue, between 7 p.m. April 3 and 9 a.m. April 4.

Blight

Rubbish and junk vehicles were being stored in a front yard on Walnut Lane, 8:55 a.m. April 15.

Missing juvenile

A juvenile who is a chronic runaway ran away from Adams Court, 7:56 a.m. April 15.

Three juveniles on Kelton Drive were reported missing by their parents, 8 p.m. April 16.

A chronic runaway male juvenile was reported missing from Church Street, 4:12 p.m. April 19.

A male juvenile was reported missing from Sorrento Court, 1 a.m. April 19.

Bike theft

Someone was walking out of Wal-Mart on Camino Arroyo and noticed his bike had been stolen, 9:45 p.m. April 15. The victim saw the thief riding away with the bicycle –a green and white BMX style bike valued at $250.

A Hispanic juvenile male stole a bike from in front of McDonalds on First Street, 2:29 p.m. April 16. The bike, valued at $1,000, had a black frame and seat, blue grips and seatbar, and green pedals.

Domestic disturbance

A domestic disturbance was reported on Hanna Street, 4:13 p.m. April 16.

Forgery

An unidentified person on Lilliy Avenue reported an unknown person used stolen checks to withdraw $475 from a checking account, 8 a.m. April 11.

Found property

An unidentified person found a mountain bike on Alexander and Old Gilroy streets, 12:06 a.m. April 18.

Animal

An unidentified person was bitten by an animal on Gage Court, 6:25 a.m. April 18.

Auto burglary

A burglar broke the passenger-side window of a vehicle parked on the 7400 block of Monterey Street and took a checkbook and a Sprint cell phone valued at $200, 7:13 p.m. April 18.

Assault

An unknown male punched an unidentified person during an argument at Long House Bar on Monterey Street and fled the scene, 1:18 a.m. April 19.

Road laws

A brown 1992 Honda Accord on Moro Drive was towed and stored, 2:45 a.m. April 19.

Robbery

A male was assaulted on Alexander Street by two unknown suspects, who fled prior to police arrival, 9:59 p.m. April 19.

Lost property

An unidentified person lost property at the Gilroy Library, between 3:30 and 7:05 p.m. April 15.

An unidentified person lost property on the corner of Monterey and 6th streets, between 8 p.m. April 5 and 10 a.m. April 6.

An unidentified person lost property on San Ysidro Drive, 4:25 a.m. April 18.

An unidentified person lost property on San Ysidro Drive, 1:35 a.m. April 17.

An unidentified person lost property on San Ysidro Drive, 7:05 p.m. April 8.

Vandalism

An unknown person vandalized property on Kelton Drive, 1 a.m. April 15.

A blue 2006 Toyota Corolla on First Street was vandalized, between 11:40 p.m. April 13 and 9:45 a.m. April 14.

A vandal broke the driver-side window of a Chevrolet vehicle on Kern Avenue, 9 p.m. April 17.

An unknown person vandalized property on Miller Avenue, between 12:01 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. April 18.

Vehicle tampering

A white 2006 Chevrolet on Filice Drive was tampered with, between 5 p.m. April 14 and 7 a.m. April 15.

Grand theft

A thief stole a Dare cell phone, eyeglass cases, and a wallet with an identification, Social Security cards and cash from Camino Arroyo, 6 p.m. April 17.

A thief stole a coin box from a washer on El Dorado Drive, between 1:05 a.m. April 8 and 4:30 a.m. April 9.
