HONOR: Scott Sandler:Â Scott Sandler was named Gavilan College’s Employee of the Month for September 2012.
Scott is an English Instructor in the liberal arts and sciences department and has been with Gavilan College since 2002, becoming a full-time faculty member in 2007.
Scott is an active and tireless member of the Gavilan Community who is always striving to help improve the quality of the educational experience for students, staff, faculty and administration. For several years, both as adjunct and full-time faculty in English, Scott has worked with the writing skills center. He is the faculty advisor for the Knights of Gavilan and ASB club, dedicated to integrating the practices of chivalry into 21st century culture. He was an inaugural member of the Learning Council, a collaborative, cross-disciplinary forum that uses research, dialogue, recommendations, action and evaluation to improve college conditions for student learning, growth and success, serving as co-chair for the past two years.
