A 12-year-old Morgan Hill boy who was reported missing late Thursday has been found – shortly after police sent out an automated voice message to alert the public of his disappearance, according to Morgan Hill Police Cadet Victoria Naranjo.

No further details are available at this time.

The message was sent around 11:45 p.m. Thursday. In it, police relayed “an urgent message”: a 12-year-old boy who attends Nordstrom Elementary located on East Dunne Avenue went missing after school and was last seen walking on East Main Avenue (a parallel street about a half-mile away from Nordstrom).

He was described as being of mixed race, half-black/half-white, wearing a gold T-shirt that said “Nordstrom.”

The phone message is part of an automated alert system by the MHPD. Residents can sign their telephone number up online at morgan-hill.ca.gov.

Naranjo said a second message was sent out to alert the public that the boy had been found.

The news concerned many in Morgan Hill as 15-year-old Sierra LaMar, who went missing more than 40 days ago on March 16, has yet to be found.
