Gilroy – Investigators are seeking witnesses to a December plane crash in Gilroy, in the hopes of determining what caused the fatal accident. The twin-engine plane plummeted into a sewage tank at the South County Regional Wastewater Authority in east Gilroy just before 4pm Dec. 15, 2006, killing its three passengers. First bilingual parks event
Gilroy – County parks are holding their first bilingual family program from 10:30am to 12am Sunday, at Chitactac-Adams Heritage County Park. Visitors will learn about Expedition Camp 92 of the Anza expedition that met the Ohlone civilization.
“We’re really trying to reach out to the Latino community,” said park ranger Jan Shriner, who will lead the English-language event. Ranger Regulo Zapato will translate in Spanish.
The program is best suited for children age 6 and older.

Benefit car wash
Gilroy – The family of Mario Bonfante, who broke his neck last fall riding his BMX bike at Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy, is having a benefit car wash 10am to 5pm, today at Sno-White Restaurant, 16290 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill. Proceeds will help family pay for therapy expenses.Â

SV Civic Theatre rocks out
Gilroy – Teens will be performing ‘Schoolhouse Rock,’ based on the award winning ABC-TV educational animated series directed by Carol Harris produced by Tracy VanGundy and Dave Leon with musical direction by Carol Harris.
The show continues at 8pm today and a 2pm matinee Sunday. It plays again March 30 and 31 at the Morgan Hill Community Playhouse, 17090 Monterey Road.
Tickets are $15 general, $12 students/seniors, and may be purchased online at www.svct.org or at BookSmart in Morgan Hill, Gilroy Visitors Bureau or at the Morgan Hill Community Center.
