Xander Bowers, Christopher Basketball

Bowers recorded a double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds for Christopher in its 69-47 win over Seaside Feb. 13. It was the team’s final home game of the season. Bowers scored 10 of his points in the fourth quarter. The win improves the Cougars’ chances of a higher seed for the playoffs.Â
Trinity Stark, Christopher Girls Basketball

Stark posted a season-high 21 points for the Cougars in their 56-42 win over Salinas Feb. 12. She followed that up by scoring 11 points in Christopher’s 57-37 win over Gilroy Tuesday. The freshman also had three rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal. The win helps the team’s chances of making CCS.
