Each week we will recognize one area male and female athlete for their performances. This week’s are:
Raul Tovar, Christopher running back/linebacker

Tovar was at the helm for four of the Cougars’ seven TDs—three rushing and one pick six. He helped his team to a 48-14 win over Live Oak Sept. 12 at home.

Irby had 20 assists, the most at the “Stinky Rose” tournament Sept. 12-13. She also had 14 steals and four goals. She was named to the All-Tournament Team for her efforts.
