GILROY – CenCal Auto Body took sole possession of first place in the Men’s C Softball League Monday by outlasting DS Builders 8-5 at Las Animas Park.

Mike Richey lined a three-run home run, Isaac Seymour a two-run shot as CenCal moved to 2-0 and the Builders slipped to 1-1. Matthew Garcia collected a triple and single, and Albert Tamez a pair of singles. Chad Brownfield went 3-for-3 for DS Builders.

DeHaro Mechanicals struck for three runs in the sixth to defeat So Juicy-Vets 6-5. Consecutive singles by EJ Mendoza, Gabe Hernandez and Sean Subia sparked the Mechanicals rally. Daniel Vasquez finished with two hits and two RBI for the winners. Daniel Montenegro went 2-for-3 and scored twice for So Juicy-Vets.

Lionel Ortiz went 4-for-4, Mike Sandoval homered and Tomas Carrillo scored three runs as Frank Vargas Taxes reached 2-0 atop the Men’s BB League Monday at Christmas Hill Park with a 9-6 win over Farmer’s Insurance-Dee’z Nutz.

Ryan Dequin and Louie Garcia produced three hits each for the losers.

Team Guerrero opened the season with a 19-12 victory over Self Made. Ruben Ramirez homered in a four-hit effort for the winners. Ruben Guerrero went 3-for-4. Willie Gamboa homered and Brian Cullom went 4-for-4 for Self Made.

Feather Haven is 2-0 in Men’s DD action after a 22-7 win over the Loco Boys Tuesday.

Ryan McDonnell homered in a 5-for-5 night for Feather Haven. Frank Navarrete went 3-for-4 for the Loco Boys.

Jim Reimer drove in six runs with a homer, double and single to propel the Titans past Trevino Brothers Construction 27-10. Vance Lee’s three-run homer capped an 11-run Titans sixth. Brian Cortez went 4-for-4 while Rusty Trevino was 3-for-4 for the Builders.

Silicon Valley Concrete (1-0) stopped No Soup 4 You 17-12 behind homers from AJ Martinez, Matt Coughlin and Manny Rivera. Val Casillas and Joaquin Chacon each drilled three hits for No Soup 4 You.

All 4 Seasons Pet Services made a successful debut in Women’s Softball League play Wednesday with a 7-0 blanking of Goldsmith Seeds at Christmas Hill.

Vicki Groppe and Laura Hennessee roped consecutive RBI-singles in the Pet Services first frame. Bria DeLorenzo hit a two-run double and Trudi Souza had an RBI-double in the second. Angie Macedo went 2-for-2 for Goldsmith.

Leslie Miner went 5-for-5 and Anita Garza went 3-for-4 in a 14-4 Garza Sisters & Friends nod over Ms. BeHaving. Denise Lujan tripled and singled for Ms. BeHaving.

Dutchman’s Pizza is one of four 2-0 clubs in the Men’s CC League after a 15-13 comeback win Wednesday over the Players.

Ray Rojas lashed a two-run homer as Dutchman’s struck for four runs in the final frame. Mike Hernandez went 4-for-4 and scored four Dutchman’s runs. Julio Hernandez tripled and singled for the Players.

Anthony Corral’s sacrifice fly in the eighth inning gave Blackout Window Tinting a 15-14 win over Los Pistoleros.

Los Pistoleros rushed to a 12-3 lead after four innings. Danny Reyes homered and Maciel Urenda stroked a triple and two singles for Los Pistoleros. Blackout forced an extra inning by scoring three runs with two outs in the seventh. Scott Garies went 5-for-5 and Alex Bass homered for Blackout.

Pablo Perez homered and Armando Hernandez and Nick Aldrete each went 3-for-3 to lead Team Wicked by Cali Auto 17-2. Thomas Woods homered for Cali Auto.

Chris Green and Jeff Elliott each homered as the Dirty Dozen topped Walton & Sons Masonry 31-20. Tim Graves and John Serrine hit Walton homers.
