The City of Gilroy is urged to seriously consider the following
as regards the parking situation in the downtown business area and
adjacent parking lots and areas.

The City of Gilroy is urged to seriously consider the following as regards the parking situation in the downtown business area and adjacent parking lots and areas.
1. Let the current NON-ENFORCEMENT of parking restrictions continue for the time being.
2. Make NO NEW PARKING REGULATIONS at this time.
3. When the street repairs and beautification projects have been completed THEN work out any perceived parking problems and institute changes believed to be necessary.
Downtown merchants will have enough problems trying to keep their heads above water during the next MANY MONTHS without having to worry about where customers, employees, and business owners will park without receiving a parking ticket.
