I am a junior at Gilroy High. I am deeply concerned about the
bathrooms. We currently have three bathrooms to go to in our
school. One is by the B building. Another is by the ice cream
machines and the G and H buildings. And the third one is between
the gym and the band room.

I am a junior at Gilroy High. I am deeply concerned about the bathrooms. We currently have three bathrooms to go to in our school. One is by the B building. Another is by the ice cream machines and the G and H buildings. And the third one is between the gym and the band room.
None of them are kept clean, and all rarely have paper towels to dry our hands with. The oldest bathrooms on the campus only have two stalls that have doors. The newest ones have many sinks, but only one container of soap (though there are soap dispensers for all of the sinks). All of the bathrooms are never kept clean. As I use them and watch others walk in and out saying “this school needs better bathrooms,” I think to myself “isn’t this a serious health issue?” What if an inspector came to our school? I believe our school would be shut down until we pass the bathroom inspection. The bathrooms are all in poor condition for many different reasons, but some are better than others.
I have witnessed something that I would have ignored. Today, some girls (not walking together, they came at different times) were walking to the bathrooms across campus (from the B or C buildings to the ones by the G and H buildings) because they are much better. A yard duty stopped the girls to ask where they were going, they responded “to those bathrooms.” The yard duty told the girls to turn around and go to the ones in their area of school (where their class was). The girls said “but those ones are cleaner.” And the Lady said “too bad, go to the ones in your area.” I was appalled. if they want people to go to the bathroom in their classroom area they need to keep them all clean and well stocked.
