Bernard Stewart passed away August 21, 2012, in Morgan Hill, CA. He was raised in Portland, OR and met his wife, Lapreal, while he was in the military. They moved to California in the early 50’s.
 Bernie was a retired General Contractor in Santa Clara County. He also enjoyed baseball, golf, the San Francisco 49ers and RV travelling.
 He is survived by his 5 children, Duane Stewart, Gayle Brindile, Judy Stewart, John Stewart and James Stewart; and nine grandchildren, Candy Hoagland, Troy Johnson, Guy Johnson, Edward Stewart, John Stewart, Jr., Samantha Barlow, Donald Barlow, Ellie Stewart and Jamie Stewart.
 A funeral service will take place at Johnson Funeral Home, 17720 Monterey Road in Morgan Hill on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at 11:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Mt. Hope Memorial Park.
