GILROY – Artist educators are exhibiting their work now through Friday, Jan. 16 at the Gavilan College Main Gallery, in the library, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd.
Explore the work the college’s artistic instructors do when they are not teaching. Works include paintings, sculptures, digital media and photography. The exhibit is open Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Details: 848-4724.
GILROY – The Asian American Association of Gilroy will celebrate the Feast of the Santo Niño (Holy Child) today at St. Mary’s Church, 11 First St.
At 5:45 p.m., they will escort the Holy Child into St. Mary’s Church with the community and the English Mass will start at 6 p.m. The religious tradition has a Spanish origin and has been a cherished tradition in the Philippine Islands for centuries. Details: 847-5151.
GILROY – The Garlicky Group of Poets will hold its monthly poetry reading Saturday at 3:30 p.m., in the meeting room of the Gilroy Public Library, located at the corner of Rosanna and Sixth streets. Participation is free and open to the public. Details: Ed Nauss at 779-499.
