Initial results from the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters show incumbent Marie Blankley leading in the race for mayor of Gilroy in the Nov. 5 election, with incumbent Zach Hilton leading the count in the six-candidate field for three city council seats.

As of 8:46pm, Blankley leads challenger Greg Bozzo with 53.17% or 5,425 of the votes counted so far, according to the registrar’s website. Bozzo has 4,778 votes for mayor.

In the race for city council, Hilton leads the field with 20.39% or 5,040 votes. Kelly Ramirez is next with 19% or 4,699 votes, and Terence Fugazzi is following with 18.56% or 4,588 of the vote count so far.
