The Frys.com Open's 132-player field has been finalized, and all that's left to do is play golf. The wait for that is about over as the PGA Tour tournament makes its way to San Martin this week.

More than 80 local golfers took to the links Wednesday, in the first step to earning a spot in the 2012 Frys.com Open, which kicks off next week.

Former Augusta State All-American Patrick Reed has been awarded a sponsor exemption into the next week’s Frys.com Open at CordeValle Golf Club, tournament director Jeff Sanchez announced Wednesday.
