Woman found dead inside trailer at RV park

A 62-year-old Morgan Hill woman was found dead inside her trailer at the Thousand Trails RV Park in an unincorporated area near Morgan Hill Thursday afternoon, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office who conducted the investigation. Authorities have ruled out foul play and say Alberta Silva, 62, died from natural causes.

Sheriff’s department receives grant for DUI enforcement

The primary cause of deaths on local streets and highways remains drunken driving, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s office and the "Avoid the 13" DUI Task Force will keep up with its DUI enforcement in the county as a result of a recent $101,500 grant awarded by the California Office of Traffic Safety. The Sheriff’s office will administer the grant for the entire county on behalf of the Santa Clara County Police Chiefs’ Association.

Man injured when tractor overturns, rolls into building

A man driving a tractor was injured when it overturned and rolled downhill into a building, Santa Clara County Sheriff Sgt. Jose Cardoza said. The accident occurred about 12:45 p.m. today on private property on the 4000 block of East Dunne Avenue at Finley Ridge Road in the eastern hills of unincorporated Morgan Hill.
