ENGAGEMENT: Teruel/Martinez: Baltazar and Veronica Teruel of Hollister announce the engagement of their daughter, Gabriella Isabelle Teruel, to Michael Anthony Martinez of San Martin.

WEDDING: Padilla/Fletscher: Evan and Harmony (Padilla) Fletscher were married Aug. 4, 2012 at Cowell’s Beach in Santa Cruz.

BIRTH: Holden Bridger Thomas: Holden Bridger Thomas was born Aug. 17, 2012 at Kaiser Walnut Creek to Lanette and Cory Thomas of Pleasanton. He weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces.

HONORS: San Benito Stage Company awards scholarships: This year, the San Benito Stage Company established a new scholarship program. SBSC was able to award two scholarships to graduating high school seniors. The inspiration for the scholarships was due to a $500 annual gift from Paul King in memory of his son Dave King, a former participant with SBSC. The board of directors of San Benito Stage Company voted to match the gift and set up a second annual $500 scholarship.

BIRTHS: Rylie Madison Grabscheid: Rylie Madison Grabscheid was born Aug. 4, 2012 at Santa Teresea Kaiser to Tamara and Joel Grabscheid of Morgan Hill. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.

ENGAGEMENTS: Kelly/Herraez: Stephanie Nicole Kelly and Ryan Michael Herraez are engaged to be married.

HONORS: Christina Keohane: Christina Keohane, of Gilroy, earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Loyola Marymount University, joining more than 1,300 students in LMU's 2012 graduating class. Located between the Pacific Ocean and downtown Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University is a comprehensive university offering 60 major programs, 38 master's degrees and a doctoral degree in education from four colleges, two schools and Loyola Law School.
