Police and deputies in Santa Clara County arrested 97 motorists on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs this weekend, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.Â
UPDATE: Court records reveal that Council candidate Rebeca Armendariz has a history in and out of traffic court, amassing six traffic violations in the past four years (not including the incident on Aug. 28), which probably accounts for why her license was suspended in the first place.Â
A man posing as an interested buyer at a real estate open house stole a wallet from one of the Realtors in west Morgan Hill, and police are still looking for the suspect, authorities said.

A Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested by Morgan Hill Police July 4 for driving under the influence. Tyeler Fleckner, 27, who joined the force in November 2006, was not placed on administrative leave as a result, according to Sgt. Jose Cardoza, sheriff’s spokesman.
