Ballet San Jose is looking for two, well-behaved Borzoi (Russian Wolfhounds) to be part of their season opener “Giselle.”
The dogs will be walked onstage by a performer, walk in a circle, then stand on stage during a scene. They need to be comfortable around large groups of people, music and possible applause from the audience.
The dogs will be needed for all three rehearsals and four performances.
Rehearsals are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Ballet San Jose Studios, 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at San Jose Center for the Performing Arts and 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at San Jose Center for the Performing Arts.
Performances will occur at San Jose Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22, 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23, and 1 p.m. Oct. 24.
The owner must provide transportation for their dog(s) to and from the theater and will be compensated with complimentary tickets to “Giselle.”
