GILROY – The Gilroy Bulls improved to 3-0 in second-half Men’s DD Basketball League action Wednesday at Solorsano Gymnasium with a 59-33 victory over Team Techron.

Jeff Smith garnered 12 of his game-high 16 points in the second half as the Bulls expanded a 30-23 intermission advantage.

Chris Niffenegger produced 14 points, Eric Whalen nine for the league leaders. Kendrick Azcueta and Jordan Cania each struck for 14 points for Team Techron.

Morgan Hill Garage Door kept pace with the Bulls by outlasting the Warriors 61-49.

The Warriors built a 31-30 lead by halftime. Enrique Dolmo poured in nine points in the second half to highlight the Garage Door comeback.

Alexis Rivas led the Garage Door offense with 20 points. Gene Cotter added 18, Sig Reynisson nine for the winners. Adolfo Tellez and Mike Vanni netted 13 points each for the 1-2 Warriors.

Crunch Time (2-1) used four shooters in double figures to top State Farm 59-35.

Kyle Billups delivered 17 points, Lamont Chappell 14 for Crunch Time. Matt Goslin and Tony Shebib each sank three three-point field goals in 13-point showings. Adolfo Mireles sparked the State Farm offense with 3 three-pointers in an 11-point outburst.
