Sgt. Rick Rodriguez of the Morgan Hill Police Department said that, while the descriptions are similar, police are unable to determine whether they were the same person.

The suspect and the car owner went for a test drive at about 6:40 p.m. in the area of Tassajara Circle and East Dunne Avenue. The suspect placed a knife to the victim’s throat and demanded the vehicle. The victim, who notified policed after walking a short distance home, was not injured.

The suspect was described as Hispanic in his early 20s, 5’6″ or 5’7″ in height and 140 pounds with a shaved head and light facial hair black or brown in color. He was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.
