Choirs from the Gilroy and Christopher high schools will be perform their fall concerts.

will perform their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Saint
Mary Catholic Parish at 11 First Street in Gilroy, and again at
7:30 p.m. Thursday at the San Juan Bautista Mission at 406 Second
Street in San Juan Bautista.
The Gilroy and Christopher high school choirs will perform their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Saint Mary Catholic Parish at 11 First Street in Gilroy, and again at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the San Juan Bautista Mission at 406 Second Street in San Juan Bautista.

Both performances will cost $5 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Japan earthquake/tsunami relief for Gilroy’s sister city, Takko-Machi.

“We anticipate $3,000 to $5,000 from this,” said choral director Phil Robb, who described the event as the “highlight of the year.”

The five different choirs featured at the event comprises more than 210 students who will perform 24 different pieces.

Robb described the performance as their “last serious concert” before the school year ends.
