The City of Gilroy Recreation Department, along with Director Carol Romo, are hosting auditions for the 2014 Spring Children’s Theater production of “Aladdin.”
Auditions will take place Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Gilroy Senior Center, located at 7371 Hanna St. in Gilroy.
Ages 6-11: Audition at 11 a.m.
Ages 12-17: Audition at 1 p.m.
*Please arrive 15 minutes early to sign in.
Audition notes for actors:
• Dress in comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.
• Prepare a short song to sing a cappella.
• If you are 12-17 years old, please prepare a short monologue or poem.
• Bring a headshot (any close-up photo is fine).
• Bring a resume of past productions (a form will be provided if you don’t have one).
• Bring a list of all scheduling conflicts from Jan. 22 – April 30.
The registration fee is $125 for residents of Gilroy and $130 for non-residents. Rehearsals are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
The performance will take place at the Gilroy High School Theater in April 2014.
