THIS WEEK’S WEB POLL:
THIS WEEK INSTEAD OF ASKING OUR COMMUNITY PULSE BOARD THE WEB POLL QUESTION, WE ASKED THEM TO RESPOND TO THIS: Name one aspect of living in Gilroy for which you are very thankful? Please enjoy THEIR ANSWERS and HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING.
â– Thankful for a community like Gilroy having supported our little quilt shop for these 33 years and providing a great environment to live, work, play and raise a family.
â– I’m thankful that Gilroy provided my children with a carefree childhood full of wonderful memories.
â– Having traveled throughout the U.S. and lived in New Orleans for 13 years, Gilroy offers one of the most moderate of climates for
year-round living for all ages and activities.
â– Gilroy is a great place to live because of the friendly, involved people discouraging other potential perpetrators.
â– Gilroy still has a feeling of rural openness apart from the traffic congestion of the Bay Area.
â– I am thankful for the GREAT people in my life!
â– I’m thankful for that ‘can do’ attitude that Gilroyan’s possess.
â– It’s difficult to choose just one, but I am most grateful for my family, friends and associates who make this community a wonderful place to live and work.
â– I am grateful for the excellent and easy recycling program that Gilroy offers to make our landfill waste minimal. Also, the beauty of the landscape as it changes with each season.
â– I am thankful for the small town feeling Gilroy still has. When there is a time of need the Gilroy Community always steps up and gets it done.
â– Gilroyans are a great combo of entrepreneur, volunteer, and ferocious independence. Most of the time that serves our community and its organizations – think Garlic Festival or Arts Alliance – very well. We’re a quirky but loveable bunch.
â– Community – A place where a new a new friend is just a chat away,
where a new acquaintance always seems to be a friend of a friend, where your children seem to know other kids no matter where they land, where common ground includes the entire community.
â– I am very thankful for my husband and my three sons who were born and raised Gilroyans. My grandparents came here in 1929. My mother and father made a great living in this beautiful city and my husband and I have been lucky enough to raise our sons here also. We all work in Gilroy and have enjoyed the beautiful mountains and warm sunshine to come home to. I am thankful that we are healthy and happy and are able to spend wonderful Thanksgivings together every year. Our extended family members are all within 45 minutes of each other so we gather together quite often to enjoy the pleasures that Gilroy has to offer. I am a very blessed woman.
