■ No. Until we get more downtown residents with their eyes and feet on the streets, safety will continue to be a concern for most patrons.
■ Yes, I always feel safe. Now that there is increased lighting in the parking lots and new lighting on Monterey Street in the heart of Downtown it makes for a very safe and inviting environment.
■ I have had my business downtown for many years and I have NEVER been concerned for my safety. Of course I don’t hang out in bars at 2 a.m.
■ Yes, I feel safe when I’m downtown. I feel sorry for anyone who tries to mess with me.
■ Yes. Especially when I am there doing legitimate business during legitimate business hours. Parking isn’t an issue. Our downtown has an unfair reputation and with the new developments on Monterey Street and face-lifts happening we should support this area of town and add to its viability. More folks should explore what is there.
■ Relatively safe in the daylight hours, wouldn’t dare venture down there after dark!
