â– Yes. Enhanced California agriculture, endless revenue stream, halt the insurgency of Mexican drug cartels …
â– NOPE. This would open a Pandora’s box of trouble that will create havoc especially on young adults. Proponents who argue it would increase state revenue don’t understand that the added medical, health care, social and crime costs it will create are not a valid trade-off.
â– NO. It is a drug.
â– Simple answer is yes! BUT, the controls must be in place to accommodate medical use/propagation and a maximum amount of possession for adults.
â– No. It is so much stronger now than years ago … to legalize it would be the wrong move, especially for adolescents.
â– No. It is ludicrous to make far-reaching cultural decisions based on potential tax revenue. We can’t keep cigarettes away from our youth and we can’t keep drunk drivers off the road. For that matter we can’t even get people to put down their cell phones while driving! How do we expect to manage the implications of legalizing marijuana?
â– Yes. Twenty years from now we’ll be asking why marijuana was outlawed in the first place.
â– Yes. Alcohol and tobacco are legal. They’re worse. Why should criminals make a fortune on illegal marijuana? Anyone can already get it if they want to. Legalize it and tax it.
