■ I will make an effort to shop locally – especially at downtown businesses. I plan on visiting the new Lizarran restaurant as many times as possible.
■ SHOP LOCALLY! I will be cutting back on spending, but will concentrate on spending locally. n All of our shopping will be done in Gilroy if it can be found in Gilroy. We always check Gilroy first. Some concessions are usually necessary.
■ More locally … just spent $2,500 on a new refrig from Western Appliance.
■ I have already contributed to the Gilroy economy this past Black Friday. I do most of my shopping in Gilroy.
■ Locally if possible, but I do long for a Macy’s!
■ Shop locally more. I wish to keep our taxes here in town even if having to pay a bit more.
■ Definitely in town, especially for the local shops that are not chains, although the chains do also deserve our support since they’re in Gilroy.
■ I shop locally. If I need to find it, it’s in Gilroy.
■ Most of our “reality” shopping will be local but internet shopping is increasing.
■ It will be great to buy books for my grandkids right here in Gilroy. Right now, I buy at Barnes & Noble or Amazon. I give donations to Saint Joseph’s Family Center for most of my gift-list.
