Veterans ‘Ride 2 Recovery’

More than 200 bicyclists, including injured veterans, gathered outside of the Gilroy Best Western Monday morning before heading out on day three of their seven-day, 450-mile ride along the scenic coast of California.

Alejo’s immigrant license bill gains broad support

The California Legislature on Thursday passed a bill by Assemblyman Luis Alejo, D-Salinas, which would allow any undocumented immigrant to apply for a driver’s license. AB 60 passed out of the State Senate with a vote of 28-8 and was approved by the State Assembly with a vote of 55-19.
