Gilroy – Chris Costello Electric is alone atop the Men’s Winter DD League standings at 2-0 after a 19-16 victory over Claddagh Brew Crew Sunday at Las Animas Park.

Rick Lewis went 4-for-4 and Gary Tognetti homered for the Electricians. Mark Madalena scored four runs for the winners. Mike Keith and Paul Morrow each mustered four hits for Claddagh Brew Crew.

The Assassins reached 2-1 with a 16-13 nod over Victory Outreach. Ivan Acevedo stroked a two-run home run and Jason Corona smashed a triple, double and two singles for the Assassins. Louie Gamez scored four runs while lining a single, double and triple for the victors. David Loera singled and doubled for 1-2 Outreach.

VFW Bingo moved to 2-1 with a 14-13 edging of Whiplash. Chris Stainton hit a two-run triple to key an eight-run outburst in the sixth for Bingo. Gabe Romero went 3-for-4 for the winners. Mike Molina hit a three-run home run, Julio Zavala a two-run poke for Whiplash.

Co-Rec B

Cary O’Neal Roofing-California Silk Screening is 2-0 in first place in the five-team Co-Rec Winter B League by stopping Lights Out 16-1 Sunday at Las Animas.

Mark Terrill went 3-for-3 and drove in four runs for O’Neal-Cal Silk. Sue Keehn added a double and two singles for the winners. Rosendo Azevedo went 2-for-2 with an RBI for Lights Out.

Acevedo hit a three-run home run and Julian Castaneda provided a two-run shot as Lights Out topped Dequin’s Auto Body 12-7 Thursday.

All Out is 2-1 after earning a forfeit win over Jenny’s Crew-Dutchman’s Pizza.

Men’s D

Tortured Souls Tattoo improved to 3-0 in Men’s Winter D League play Friday at Las Animas with a 15-11 decision over Gamers In Control.

Jeremy Page homered in a 3-for-4 effort and Jose Melendrez added a double and two singles for the Tattoo. Brian Padilla hit two home runs and two singles for 2-1 Gamers In Control.

Luna Bail Bonds is 2-0 by defeating Dr. Tile 17-2. Michael Catangay and Joe Gianotte cracked Luna homers and Steve Borgna went 4-for-5 and scored four runs. John Robinson hit a two-run double for Dr. Tile.

Marty Serrano went 5-for-6, including two hits in a 12-run sixth frame, as Temple Inland outlasted the Bomb Squad 21-20. Adam Walters scored five Temple Inland runs. Andre Puluzzi hit a home run, double and three singles for the Bomb Squad. Brad Hunter scored five runs for the Bombers.
