Dear Editor,
I read the article about the poor shape our South County roads are in. I have a gripe to add. Two years ago, repairs were done by the county road crew on Oak Glen Avenue in Morgan Hill. They ground out areas that needed repairs. After making the repairs, the areas they worked on were left lower than the rest of the road. They never made the repaired areas level with the rest of the road.
For two years now, vehicles have been hitting these areas – and there are a lot of them – causing a rough ride and who knows what kind of wear on our tires. What sense does it make to fix a road and then leave the area lower than the rest of the road? The foreman of this project shouldn’t hold his position.
